Marc Jacob Liya

I love the vintage appeal of Marc Jacob's Liya frame bag.

The lines are classic and refined. It has an oversize kisslock clasp, double handles, and slidelock closure with a tiny faux keyhole, but the super soft suede and leather accents keep the look updated. At 15"x5"x8", it's quite large enough to carry your everyday essentials in style. Available for $995 at Scoop NYC.

Season's Savings

Did you all get some great steals during your after-Christmas sale shopping? For those of you that missed out, here are some of my favorite sale offerings.

This beautiful and practical Woven Napa Shoulder Bag from the incomparable Bottega Veneta has been slashed down from $560 to $291, and is also available in yellow and orange.

The sleek, versatile red calfskin pochette from Marc Jacobs is now $257, down from $496. The signature logo push-lock closure is the only adornment, so it's simple enough to be worn every day.

Moschino's suede hobo is trimmed with metallic python embossed leather and finished with a girly bow. Sweet and feminine, it's marked down to less than half price at $207.95.

The Suede Lola by Juicy Couture has also been marked down to $276, and it's a lot of bag for the price. Spacious and casual, it has with whipstitched detailing, leather and chain tassels, and a zip top with signature J pull.

I love to shop vicariously, so if you picked up the deal of the century recently, let me know!

Pucci Printed Canvas Satchel

Pucci's signature bold graphic prints are offset with a prim, ladylike shape in this lovely canvas satchel.

I love the little touches on this bag: the blue whipstitching on the handles, the curved leather trim that echoes the print, and the petite buckle straps. It's perfect for the girl who wants loads of storage- it has a double zip top to open wide for easy access, four outside pockets, and interior zip and cell phone pockets. Pre-order yours now for $890; delivery is expected in early February.

Clutch Crazy

'Tis the season for festive holiday parties, which is a great excuse to pick up a clutch with a little bit of sparkle.

I love this elegantly beaded satin number with a kisslock closure. In black, it's the perfect go-with-everything evening bag, but it's also available in gray, gold, bronze, ivory, dusty pink, fuchsia, turquoise, and lime for $210.

For a little more flash, this cabochon-accented silver silk clutch might do the trick. The squared-off lines are a clean, updated look, and it's sure way to glam up an outfit. It's $200 and also comes in an array of colors: black/white, black/pink, brown, ivory, turquoise, lime, and pink.

If you prefer a more subtle shimmer, Claire V's hand-loomed silk envelope clutch is the picture of elegant simplicity. Embroidered with a single gold-tipped dragonfly, this bag can be dressed up or down. It's a steal right now for $41.25.

This edgy bag is composed of tobacco-hued leather and accented with goldtone chain details. It sports two front vertical zip pockets, an interior zip pocket, magnetic snap entry, and a comfortable 9" drop. It's polished, but has a distinct tough-chick vibe. Also available sans chains in white with snakeskin trim for $345.

Louis Vuitton Cabas Toile GM

One of the most common reasons people tell me they don't like Monogram Canvas purses (aside from simple aesthetic issues) is that they feel like they are paying what seems like an obscene amount of money to be a walking advertisement for the bag maker. I do see their point, but then I look at the Cabas Toile GM, and suddenly Monogram looks like the epitome of understatement.

Apparently, this is for the person who spends $1,570 for a canvas tote, and wants you to KNOW IT. Brace yourselves for next season, when Louis Vuitton unveils their line of designer sandwich boards and wearable neon signs.

Versace Velvet Biker Bag

Versace is not known for subtlety. Their daring, flamboyant designs have never really been my cup of tea, but this Velvet Biker Bag has just the right ratio of "edgy" to "elegant".

It's a tiny little thing, but it's loaded up with about a metric ton of hardware. Proving that more is more, the links and buckles are encrusted with crystals, and a signature medusa medallion hangs from the zipper. If you've got the attitude to pull off this bag, you can get it on sale now, with free shipping, for $596 at eluxury.

Kelly Orchid and Butterfly by Lauren Scherr

Lauren Scherr specializes in whimsically embellished evening bags, utilizing fringe, feathers, silk flowers, and beading to make unusual and attention-grabbing purses. Some work, and others miss the mark, but I must admit that I am completely charmed by her Kelly Orchid and Butterfly handbag.

A lovely, vintage-inspired black satin frame bag is adorned with a corsage of orchids and an enameled butterfly pin. The handle tucks into the bag to convert into a clutch. As with all her bags, it's a wonderfully unique and unabashedly girly piece that's sure to catch the eye. On sale for $125 at

The ubiquitous motorcycle-style bag takes on new curves in Aaneta's Charlotte bag.

This purse is composed of soft, berry-hued leather and features a detachable strap, so you can opt to wear it as a shoulder or handbag. Whipstitched double top handles, tarnished brass hardware, and side saddle pockets give it a distinctive look. Inside, it sports a zip pocket and cell phone pouch with a key chain. Available for $295 at Active Endeavors.
