Banana Republic Suede Grommet Hobo

On the advice of the Purse Blog, I checked out Banana Republic for their new crop of accessories for fall. Boy, am I glad I did! In addition to the gorgeous quilted satin clutch that Megs featured, they have this fantastic Suede Grommet Hobo for the very reasonable price of $160.

Grommet hardware seems to be shaping up to be the look for this coming season, and this bag rocks them in style. In yummy soft brown suede, this bag is casual, yet polished enough for the evening. It's lined in cotton twill, and has a zip-top closure and an inner zip pocket. A nice little touch: like pricier designer bags, this one comes with a protective sleeper bag.

Nice call - this is so much hotter of a bag than the new Prada Grommet bag. And so much more affordable. You have a great eye.

Just dropped in to recommend some reading: there's an interesting article about Jimmy Choo's Tamara Mellon in the latest issue of Vanity Fair magazine. It gives a bit of her business history.

I concur with chemlex - to a point. that bag is fabulous (god, i wish i had a trustfund set up for the SOLE PURPOSE of buying fabulous bags), but i am a sucker for anything prada (i love her miu miu line!).

also, chemlex is ridiculously difficult to get ahold of! in the hopes that she reads this, please contact me!

Thanks! I can now stop pitying myself for not being able to afford a Prada bag, and look forward to snatching up this cutie when it goes on clearance...

Stopped by the local BR store to check this one out, and it's nice! Only drawback: no cellphone pocket. On the upside, it is quite lovely and rides comfortably on the shoulder.
